Martin L. Trevan's Obituary
Marty, aka Lunchmeat, walked on to his people in the Spirit World on October 26, 2019. He was born in Muskegon on January 2, 1956, and resided at his home with his caretaker, Gary Dayton. He is now with his mother, Mitzie Fisher (Matilda Fitch), and his father, George Trevan along with his brother, Joe Trevan. He is leaving his sister, Georgiann Trevan Paynter (Marnie); along with his nephews, Gene, Colling and Dustin Paynter and their children; his brother, Mike Adams (Marilyn); as well as many cousins and friends, and his feline companions, Morris and “The Other Cat”. Martin had so much Native Pride and love for his people. He was a respected Elder of Little River Band of Ottawa Indians and there was not a pow wow in Michigan that didn’t start until he got there! A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 1, at 2PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI, 49444. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service, from 1-2PM. Memorial contributions in Marty’s name may be directed to the American Kidney Fund.
