Jean, We were very saddened to hear of "Sonny's" passing. I know he had been ill for a long time and your courage and dedication was wonderful. I too knew Sonny since early childhood, living close and attending school together from grade school through High School. The good memories will always be there for me and his other friends. I think Ray Niemi and I both remembered the same things from our years as close friends. I was glad that I had the chance to visit with Sonny and you Jean at the 50th High School Reunion, and will miss him in the future. Jean,
We were so saddened to learn of Sonny's death. After talking to you, I re-lived all my memories of the fun Sonny and I had together atCedar Creek, fishing and camping at Bass lake We had known each other since we were 14 and I have fond memories of high School where some students thought we were brothers. We continued to call each other Brother each time we were together. We studied together with Dave Sturgis while we were in Junior college.Later on we enjoyed reunions at Bens farm.
I was privilaged to learn of his genuis although the accident with the starter cannon set my thoughts some what back. That was scary but we laughed
I am sorry that I cannot make the service. I would have enjoyed meeting your family and talking about old times.
I will be thinking of you two always. God Bless you. You two had a wonderful life.

No one in the world was more blessed to know Marty than Gabriela and I. He was the best father-in-law a girl could wish for. He was an awesome grandfather. Not only was he a father-in-law, he was a great teacher and taught me so many things from farming, to hunting to tools and always did it with the greatest smile on his face. His determination towards everything he did, was his golden touch; always the best. Thank you Marty for all your love.
