Mrs. Marva J. Paul's Obituary
Mrs. Marva J. Paul, age 83, met her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. She was born on January 3, 1939 to Joseph and Gladys (Schaallema) Vledder in Muskegon, MI and has remained a resident. She was a graduate of Muskegon High School class of 1957. On November 21, 1959 she married the love of her life, Charles Paul in Muskegon, MI. Together they cherished 33 years full of love and laughter. Charles preceded her in death on August 15, 1993. In her earlier years, Charles and Marva harvested blueberries for many years at their family farm. Not only did she support family at their farm, she also took pride in providing at home as well. Marva was an amazing cook and created time after time again delicious meals. She was also blessed with a green thumb and loved tending to her flower garden. She was a faithful servant of Our Lord and a long-time member of Fruitport Congregational Church. Marva was an active member of her church and loved mornings with her coffee crew at Burger Crest at the infamous round table. Above all things, she truly loved spending time with her friends, family and pup, Sadie. Marva was a kind and tender-loving spirit who will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her 3 children, Steven (Theresa) Paul, Barb Paul and Nancy (Les) Fairfield; 4 grandchildren, Tori (Miles Morrissey) Paul, Katelynn Paul, Evan Fairfield and Nichole Fairfield; sister, JoAnn Ritsema; 2 sisters-in-law, Gloria Paul and Linda Paul. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Charles Paul; in-laws, Wilbur (Ruth) Paul; 3 sisters, Marilyn (Gus III) Unseld, Marjorie (Vern) Rake and Geraldine “Gerri” Vledder; and 3 brothers-in-law, Gordon Paul, Harold Paul and Gerald Ritsema. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Fruitport Congregational Church, 9 N. 8th Ave., Fruitport, MI 49415. A Visitation with the family will be held one-hour prior. Memorial Contributions in Marva’s honor can be made directly to the Fruitport Congregational Church.
