Marva Jean Wolffis' Obituary
Mrs. Marva J. Wolffis, age 68, went to be with her Lord early Friday morning, January 27, 2006, at Hackley Hosptial. She was born August 15, 1937 in Muskegon to Cornelius and Edna (Tanis) Dykema and had been a life resident of the area. Marva was an active member of Allen Ave. Christian Reformed Church, its choir, Calvinette program and Sunday School as both a teacher and accompanist. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society; and was a faithful volunteer for Muskegon Christian School and Western Michigan Christian High School. Although involved in many church and school activities, she loved being a grandmother and following her grandchildren’s activities the most. On May 14, 1958 she married Dennis J. Wolffis and he survives her along with 3 children, Jack (Sherrie) Wolffis, Jill (Brian) Schuitema and Jean (Bob) Botting, all of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Jessica and Jake Wolffis, John, Bethany and Tim Schuitema, Ben, Joe and Dan Botting; 4 brothers and 1 sister, Bill (Rae) Dykema of Summerville, SC, Chuck (Janet) Dykema and Stan Dykema of Holton, Bob Dykema of Muskegon, and Ruth (Jim) Dagen of North Muskegon. SERVICES will be 11 AM Tuesday at Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Robert Bierenga officiating. Burial will be in Egelston Twp. Cemetery. VISITATION with Marva’s family will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Monday at Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442, (231-726-5210) MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Muskegon Christian School’s Building Debt Retirement or Western Michigan Christian High School’s Phase I Debt Retirement will be appreciated.
