Marvel Veronica Ely's Obituary
Marvel Veronica Ely age 91, of Ravenna Michigan, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, in Gatesville, Texas.
Marvel was born October 11, 1930, in Brampton, Michigan to the late Edward Nicholas and Ruth (Besson) Eagle. She graduated high school and married Robert D. Ely in June of 1949. They were married 55 years until his passing July 27, 2004.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Sherry Ely Whitlow and husband, Roger Crain of Gatesville, Texas, Randy Ely and wife, Julie of Ravenna, Michigan, Duane Ely and wife, Martha of Walhalla, Michigan, and Troy Whitlow of L'Anse, Michigan; and a daughter-in-law, Margaret Ely. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kelly Karns, Coty Whitlow, Laura Sidarous, Quinn Whitlow, Keith Ely, John Ely, Robert Ely, Scott Ely, Matthew Ely, Jeannie Ely, Theresa Ely, and Michael Ely and multiple great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Marvel was also preceded in death by her parents and a son, Douglas Ely.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11:00am at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna with Father Rock Badgero celebrant. Burial will be in Sullivan Township Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of service to greet friends.
