Mr. Marvin Lewis Baskin, age 67, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 after waging a valiant battle against lung disease. He was born August 22, 1945 in Muskegon to Charles and Ophelia (Kelso) Baskin and was a life resident. On August 22, 1986, he married Rhonda Kay Frasier in Muskegon and she survives him. Marvin was a journeyman tool & die maker and began working for Brickner-Kropf on his birthday in 1966 where he continued working through the change in 1984 when the company was sold and renamed Miller Engineering. In 2001, Marvin and his long-time co-worker and best friend, Dale Jenkins, purchased Miller Engineering and together they co-owned and operated the company until 2008 when they retired and sold it. Marvin enjoyed fishing and hunting with his labs in his spare time. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and the many gatherings hanging out at the pole barn, riding the quads and being up north with his friends. He had a way of making people laugh. Marvin was a regular at the Tanglewood Park where he would spend his time drinking coffee and socializing with his friends. He will be greatly missed.
