Marvin V. Best, age 80, passed away at home on January 1, 2018. He was born on March 24, 1937 to Alva and Louise (Towersey) Best in Alma, MI. Marvin worked over 40 years as a machinist at Howmet. Marvin enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. SURVIVORS including 3 children, Mark Best, Rhonda (Ron) Lane and Beth (Eric) Verschueren; six grandchildren, Justin, Merranda, Alex, Fawn, Kori and Alexis; six great-grandchildren, Jayce, Jack, Alyssa, Jase, Wayde, Greyson and sister, Margie Coon. Marvin was preceded in death by 6 brothers, Lester, Albert, Ron, Charlie, David and Larry. A memorial service will be scheduled in the spring for Marvin.
