Marvin Frederick Frein Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Marvin Frederick Frein, Sr., age 95, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 in Muskegon. He was born in Ardmore, Illinois on March 6, 1921 to John and Martha (Uteritz) Frein. Marvin was employed by SD Warren for 37 years before his retirement in 1981. He was an outdoorsman, loved animals, enjoyed gardening, and was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan. Most importantly, Marvin cherished his family and especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his three children, Marvin (Sandra) Frein, Jr., Barbara Hoerle and Karon (Steven) Hall; eight grandchildren, Daniel (Brenda) Frein, Marvin (Christine) Frein, III, Lisa Maynard, Mark (Ronda) Hoerle, Joseph (Kindra) Hoerle, Cindy Hall, Brian (Patti) Hall and Peter (Kelly) Hall; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Edwin (Judy) Frein; sister-in-law, Marvel Frein and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two wives, Vera Lillian (Wilkinson) Frein (1949) and Vera May (Nichols) Frein (1994); his parents; six brothers, Theodore, Ralph, Clarence, Elmer, Walter and John, Sr.; and one sister, Bernice Keith. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210 with Rev. Burt Wachter officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to his service. Burial will be in Ravenna Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Marvin’s memory may be made to Harbor Hospice Foundation.
