Marvin J. Morris' Obituary
Marvin J. Morris, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. He was born on April 24, 1940 to J.D. and Phyllis (Drent) Morris in Muskegon. Marvin was a certified Master Mechanic for 60 years. He loved family, hunting, racing, working in his yard and gardening. On June 28, 1958 he married the former Sandra L. Bartrand and they recently celebrated their 60th year of marriage. She survives him along with his children, Rodney Morris, Rhonda (Bill) Butterfield, Randall (Teresa) Morris; grandchildren, William (Nichole) Butterfield, Justin (Abby) Giddings, Brandon (Abby) Butterfield, Jay (Jackie) Morris, Kenny (Chrissy) Robison, Brandi (Ryan) Medema, Kayleigh (Jake) Tyers, Morgan Fodrocy; 15 great-grandchildren, brother, Terry (Sally) Morris, sisters-in-law, Rosemary Delis, Nancy Hentschel, Diane Weberg, brothers-in-law, Jack Bartrand, John Delis. VISITATION with Marvin’s family will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 E. Apple Ave. from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Marvin will take place on Friday October 26, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100) at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mike Vankampen officiating. Burial will take place in Egelston Cemetery. For a more lasting memory, donations in Marvin’s name can be made to either the Johnson Family Cancer Center or the American Heart Association.
