Marvin T. Pike Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Marvin T. Pike, Sr. age 100, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on July 24, 1920 to Herman and Nellie (Barsema) Pike and was a life resident of the area. Marv served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, and past member of the VFW 446. He was a member of Allen Ave. Christian Reformed Church. Marv worked at Dresser Crane and Hoist for 43 years before retiring in 1986. On June 21, 1947 he married the former Ardith Strohm and after 58 years of marriage, she preceded him in death on December 15, 2005. SURVIVORS include two children, Charlene Pike and Larry Pike; daughter-in-law, Mary Pike; three grandchildren, Greg (Summer) Pike and their children, Ethan, Logan and Austin Pike; Becky (Tom) Sharum and their children, Heather Burnham, Tyler (Samantha) Burnham and Ryan (Stephanie) Burnham; and Karen (Shawn) McNeilly and their children, Brandon Lemieux, Kylie McNeilly and Khloe McNeilly; and three great grandchildren. Marv was also preceded in death by his son, Marv Pike, Jr.; brother, Bobby Pike; and sister, Johanna Yonker. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 11 AM, May 14, 2021 at Allen Ave. CRC with Pastor Stan Sturing officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM.
