Mary Ann Loudermilk's Obituary
Mary Ann Loudermilk, age 77, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on June 15, 2026, while surrounded by her family. Mary Ann was born in Muskegon on July 22, 1948, to Cecil and Theresa (Garey) Stone and graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central in 1967. On July 22, 1967, she married Darrell Loudermilk, and the two of them spent 47 wonderful years raising their family together until he preceded her in death in 2015. Mary Ann was a longtime member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the same church she was baptized and married in, and worked for many years as a lunch lady for the Reeths Puffer school district. She and Darrell were very active in the VFW 8846 Post, where Mary Ann participated in the Ladies Auxiliary.
Mary Ann had a spunky attitude and was always the life of the party, always laughing and smiling. In her younger years she enjoyed camping trips with her family, but more recently she enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos, and singing karaoke at the VFW. After Darrell passed she treasured her dogs, Sophie, Coco, Toby, and Bernie, and was very thankful for their presence. More than anything she cherished time spent with her grandchildren, especially playing cards and Yahtzee (although she was known to occasionally “bend the rules”).
Mary Ann will be lovingly remembered by her two children, Deanna (Randy Anderson) Tottingham and Delvin “Del” (Dee) Loudermilk; six grandchildren: Jordan (Justin Jarvis) Loudermilk, Buck Tottingham, Rhoni (Mark Edens) Tottingham, Brittney (Jon Herron) Loudermilk, Jacob (Katelyn Mark) Loudermilk, and Rhandi Tottingham; brother, Tom Stone; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, as well as seven siblings: James Stone, William Stone, Sue Ann Stone, Delbert Stone, Phillip Stone, Rosemary Stone, and Patrick Stone.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held for Mary Ann from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at The Don Rea VFW Post 8846, 1061 Witham Rd, Muskegon, MI 49445. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Hospice of Newaygo County. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI, 49442. Please sign the family’s online guestbook and share memories at https://sytsemafh.com
