Mary L. Chittenden's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Lou Chittenden, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2023 in Grand Haven, MI. She was born on September 24, 1945 to Harold and Cora (Kenney) Timmerman in Coloma, MI. On July 11, 1992, Mary married Leon Chittenden at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church and spent 25 wonderful years together before Leon passed away in 2017. Mary was a longtime member of Spring Lake Presbyterian Church and more recently Connection Point Church. She enjoyed spending her time traveling around the United States and abroad with Leon and bowling. Mary will be remembered by her siblings, Harold (Dorothy) Timmerman, Larry (Diane) Timmerman, Lou Underhill, Carl (Cindy) Timmerman, and Gloria Hartsell; and many nieces and nephews and their families. Along with her husband, Leon, Mary was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kristina Dickerson; brothers, Dan Timmerman and Sam Timmerman; and parents. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00AM on Thursday, May 11 at Connection Point Church with Aaron Gregory officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 – 11:00AM.
