Mary J. Dennison's Obituary
Mary J. Dennison, age 91, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, in Muskegon, MI. She was born on August 28, 1932, to Perry and Lucille (Dowland) Bacon in Muskegon, MI which she has always called home. On August 11, 1967, she married the love of her life, James Dennison. Together they cherished 42 years full of love and laughter. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2010. Mary had a passion for shopping and was known to many as a regular at Walmart! She had a zest for life and spending time with her family. She enjoyed filling her home with the ones she loved treating them with one of her delicious homecooked meals. Mary will always be remembered as a loving wife, wonderful mom, doting grandma and great-grandma, amazing aunt and dear friend to many. She will truly be missed by so many. She is survived by her five children, James (Kristin) Dennison, Lucille Strzyzykowski, Barbara (Art) Larabee, Michael (Tammy) Strzyzykowski and Ron (Michelle) Bacon; eight grandchildren, Morgan Dennison, Nicholas Dennison, Michael (Dawn) Strzyzykowski II, Amber (Kyle) Cheeseman, Eric Larabee, Adam Strzyzykowski, Mady (Blake) Ross, and Marisa Bacon; three great-grandchildren, Savannah, Meadow and Brianna; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Dennison; and eight siblings. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. A visitation with the family will be held from 10-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
