Mary Alice DeWitt's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Alice DeWitt, age 80, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on June 9, 1939 to John and Letitia (Foegen) Mason. Mary Alice spent several years teaching at Muskegon and Muskegon Heights Schools prior to her retirement. She was a member of Covenant Community Church. Mary Alice was a devoted wife and mother and cherished time spent with her family the most. On February 23, 1963, Mary Alice married Richard A. DeWitt in Muskegon and he survives her along with two children, Christopher DeWitt and Michelle Percy; one granddaughter, Olivia Percy; and three brothers, Patrick (Julaine) Mason, Eugene Mason, and Michael (Maria) Mason. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the concern with social distancing, private family services will be held at this time. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
