Mary F. Duizer's Obituary
Mrs. Mary F. Duizer, age 60, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning, June 18, 2013 in Holland, MI. Mary was a life resident of the Muskegon area, born May 5, 1953 to Lacy (Sr.) and Jackie (Revelle) Ellis. She was a member of Oak-Crest Church of God, where she taught the “Joy Belles” girls club for close to thirty years. She enjoyed quilting and sewing; however, Mary’s favorite role, was that of Grandma for the past 17 years. On September 23, 1972 she married Doug Duizer and he survives her along with 3 children, Heather and Scott Anderson and their children, Samuel, Jackie and Ashlie Anderson; Holly and Chris Kelsch and their children, Madison and Marissa Kelsch and Grant Duizer; 3 brothers, Lacy (Jr.) (Rosalyn) Ellis, Waymon (Lola) Ellis, Richard (Nancy) Ellis; 2 sisters, Linda (Norman) Seewald, JoAnn (Wayne) Johnson; 2 sisters-in-law, Carol Ellis and Aileen Ellis; 1 brother-in-law, Robert (Susan) Duizer; and by many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and 4 brothers, Jimmy, Jerry, Larry and Robert. Services will be 11 AM Thursday at Oak-Crest Church of God, 1540 Leonard St., Muskegon, MI 49442 with Pastors Rick South and Ricky Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Twin Lake Cemetery. VISITATION with Mary’s family will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444(231-798-1100);and 10-11 AM Thursday at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Mary’s family will be appreciated to help defray her medical expenses over the past three years.
