Mary E. Ferrier's Obituary
Mary E. Ferrier, age 52, passed away after a courageous battle with heart disease February 15, 2018 at the University of Wisconsin. She was born on January 16, 1966 to Charles and Lenora (Roberts) Taghon in Muskegon. Mary was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She worked as a RN at Mercy Hospital and was also a licensed cosmetologist. Mary was active in the group Go Red for Women which promoted awareness for heart disease. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus council no. 13035, the Different Strokes Car Club and was a part of the group that started Cars for Cancer in Muskegon. On August 23, 1986 she married, Donald Ferrier and he survives her along with 3 children, Kailey (Randy) Snell, Colton Ferrier and Jarrett Ferrier; 4 grandchildren she adored, Peyton, Amelia, Evalyn and Charleigh; brothers, Mike (Tamara) Taghon and Dave (Jodie Dickson) Taghon and sister, Sue Hanis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Rob Taghon. MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (3252 Apple Ave.) with Rev. Fr. Antony Britto presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8PM on Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. MEMORIALS can be directed to Gift of Life of Michigan or the American Heart Association. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery.
