Mary Jane Kelly's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Jane Kelly, age 85, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Chillicothe, OH. She was born in East St. Louis, MO on April 22, 1933 to William and Catherine (Fijan) Horvath. Mary retired from Blue Care Network and had previously been employed by Sealed Power prior to her retirement. She was a former member of the Mona Lake Boat Club and enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. Mary loved to cook and will be remembered for her delicious pies and famous potato donuts. She was a caring and generous woman who shared her talents of cooking and baking with friends and family. On July 7, 1954, Mary married Gerald Kelly in St. Louis, MO and he survives her along with two children, Robert Kelly of Muskegon and Susan Sklenar of Chillicothe, OH; three grandchildren, Laura (Jeff) Miller, Alicia (Bryan) McKinney, and Sarah (Nick) Garner; eight treasured great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Horvath; one sister, Betty Bowers; and several nieces and nephews. SERVICES will be 12:00 PM, Noon, Monday, November 26, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Fr. Norman Droski officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or American Cancer Society.
