Mary Lou Snodgrass-Wright's Obituary
Mary Lou Snodgrass-Wright, age 79, of Spring Lake passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020. She was born December 27, 1940 in Detroit. Mary Lou was privileged to have two loves of her life. On April 14, 1962 she married Laurence H. Snodgrass and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1995. She then married Charles L. Wright on October 29, 1999.
Mary Lou enjoyed spending time with family, dancing, traveling, and going down by Lake Michigan. She volunteered with the Muskegon Vikings and the Tri-Cities Historical Museum. She served on the Grand Haven Public School Board and the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Grand Haven Women’s Club, the Eagles, the Women’s Division Chamber of Commerce and Counterpart. Most of all she loved her family and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie; three children: Jeffrey (Karla) Snodgrass of Grand Haven, Karin (Michael) Morgan of Allendale, and Marlo (Steve) Morgan of Grand Haven; nine grandchildren: Kyle, Makayla, Lauren, Jared, Justin, Jessica, Jeremy, Jason, Jordan and great-granddaughter, Kylin. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise McMahon Jones and her brother, Michael F. McSeoin.
Family will greet relatives and friends Friday, August 21, 2020 from 5-8 PM under the south portico at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444. An outdoor Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 22, 2020 at The Lee Chapel as well.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary Lou’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association.
