Mary Lynn Jourden's Obituary
Mary Lynn Jourden, age 71, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017, at her home. She was born January 4, 1946 in Grand Rapids, MI to William and Amelia (Deutsch) Baker; and has resided in the Muskegon area since 1968. Mary Lynn was a founder and co-owner of Michigan’s Adventure from 1968 until 2001, where she worked tirelessly behind the scenes. She relished her role as a Mom, Grandma, homemaker and cookie maker; and will forever be remembered for each of these by her family. Mary Lynn was also a founding member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She will be missed and always cherished by her three children, Carol “Lisa” (David) Arnouts of Hesperia, Camille (J. Steve Mark) Jourden-Mark of Whitehall and Roger (Casey) Jourden II of North Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, Hillary, Elizabeth, Zachary, Alexander, Katelyn, Addison, Ella, Hannah and Kelsey Lynn; her sister, Julie (Mark) Schmidtke of Caledonia and by her former husband, Roger Jourden. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, February 24, 2017 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1100 Dykstra Rd., North Muskegon, MI 49445, with Rev. Fr. Peter G. Vu, presiding. VISITATION with Mary Lynn’s family will be 5-7:00 PM Thursday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100). Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MI.
