Ms. Mary J. Moore's Obituary
Ms. Mary Moore, born on May 31, 1950 in Springfield, LA to Lester Lewis Sr and Ernestine Broom-Austin, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 in Muskegon. Mary worked at Howmet and retired in 1999. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and helped run the kitchen. She was an APRI member and a part of the Allen Ave Neighborhood Association. Mary was known for her big heart of gold. She served hot dogs and chips to the football team after games and practices and always helped out a stranger in need. She also fostered many children over the years. Mary will be missed by her children, Tamyra (Marquise) Longmire, Ryan (Ashley) Moore, Shaundalisa Moore, Lamarkio Fisher and Kennedy Moore; sisters, Lessie Hamilton, Vivian Stokes, Vicki (Johnny) Gates and Brenda (Kevin) Davis; and brothers, LQ Austin and Bryant Austin. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Regina Lewis-Briggs. A Visitation will be held Monday, July 27 from 4-8PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Due to COVID-19 indoor restrictions, visitation is limited to 10 persons at a time. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, July 28 at 12noon at Restlawn Cemetery (1400 Kenneth St., 49442).
