Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Richert's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Richert, age 99, of Spring Lake passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was born September 19, 1912 in Harrison County, Indiana, to Henry and Bertha (Schoen) Foreman.
Mary was a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She loved spending time outdoors, especially tending to her garden.
On December 30, 1931 she married Ora W. Richert, Sr. in Lanesville, Indiana and he preceded her in death on February 23, 1992. She is survived by 6 children: George (Faye) Richert of Salem, IN, Ora (Theresa) Richert Jr. of Grand Haven, Roger (MaryAnne) Richert of Spring Lake, Dale (Cathy) Richert of Thermopolis, Wyoming, Patricia (Allen) Larrabee of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Claudia (Dennis) Holmes of Spring Lake; 21 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother, Eldon (Marge) Foreman; and 1 sister-in-law, Elsie Hunter. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Dieter Haupt officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake and also 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place in Lakeshore Cemetery.
