Mary A. Rottman's Obituary
Mary Angela Rottman, age 71, passed away in Fremont, MI, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Mary was born in Chattanooga, TN, to Richard and Ethel (Sampson) Dixon on August 20, 1954. She graduated from Escambia High School in Pensacola. She worked as a paraprofessional for Muskegon Public Schools for over 30 years, where she was beloved by all the students she assisted until she retired in 2019. Mary was quite artistic, she enjoyed making jewelry and sketching drawings. She was an amazing friend and loved spending time with her long-time best friend, Ruthie. She was a strong Christian woman of kind and loving character, and she was always there for the people who needed her. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her son, Michael Rottman; three grandchildren: Jasmine Rottman, Trinity Rottman, and Jared Rottman; great-grandchild, Rowan; and brother, Joe Dixon; She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Thomas Rottman, and grandson, Connor Rottman.
Details regarding a Celebration of Life for Mary will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Newaygo County Compassion Home, 20 S.
