Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Smith 's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Smith, age 76, passed away Tuesday morning at a local hospital. Elizabeth was born September 29, 1938 in Sparta, MI to Carroll and (Doris) Virginia (Meade) Nichols. She married James Donald Smith in Muskegon on August 5, 1961, and he survives her. She was a member of Muskegon First Free Methodist Church and had previously attended the Church of the Nazarene. Elizabeth enjoyed reading and collecting Precious Moments figurines. In addition to James, her husband of 53 years, Elizabeth is survived by her children, Laura (Jay Justice) Smith of Parachute, CO and James C. (Eggertsen) Smith of Lansing, MI; 3 grandchildren, Nathan, Caleb and Cameron ; sisters, Sue Ann (Craig) Monk of Florida, Carla (Eric) Trippe of Ann Arbor; several nieces and nephews. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave, 231-726-5210 with Pastor Carlos Ramos officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (10-11AM). Memorial contributions may be made to Muskegon First Free Methodist Church.
