Mary Louise Soderquist's Obituary
Mary Louise Soderquist (Ellis), age 76, passed away on December 17, 2015. Mary was born on April 29, 1939 to Joseph and Maureen Nelson. She worked at the Muskegon Regional Center for many years before her retirement in the 1980s. She was a member of Centennial Acres Golf Club and was a strong supporter of the Ronald McDonald House. She also enjoyed traveling, playing cards and reading. First and foremost was always her family. Mary was a strong-willed, loving, supportive woman who will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughters, Sherrie (Paul) Vantongeren, Teresa (Jim) Baker, Kathy (Robert) Bielski, and Cindy Baxter; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; step-children, Mathew, Mandy and Elizabeth; brothers, Edward (Norma) Nelson and James (Cee) Nelson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; son, Joey Ellis; her parents; and son-in-law, Kenneth Baxter. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11AM at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the start of the service at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions can be made to The Ronald McDonald House in Mary’s name.
