Mary "Sue" Susan Dobson's Obituary
Mary “Sue” Susan Dobson, age 70, passed away peacefully Friday, September 16, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born January 21, 1952, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to James Sr. and Laurel (Hallesy) Trim. When Sue was in middle school, her family moved from the Upper Peninsula to Grand Haven, MI and she would eventually graduate from Grand Haven High School. In high school, she met the love of her life, Larry J. Dobson and they married on November 6, 1971. This November would have marked 51 wonderful years of marriage. Sue was an avid outdoors woman. In the evenings, you would find her at Mulligan’s Hollow, pitching for coed softball and on the weekends, she would be up at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, racing her Jeep on the sand drag strip and winning trophies. Sue and Larry loved spending time together. They enjoyed hunting and fishing and would travel the country participating in enduro motorcycle races. Sue also loved the opportunity to take walks with the family, especially with her granddaughter, Hallesy.
Sue will lovingly be missed by her husband, Larry; daughter, Kelly (Jeff) Raggl; grandchildren, Hallesy Ferris and Emma and Jaiden Raggl; brother, James Trim Jr.; sister, Dana (Al) Gioia; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Charles and Michael Trim. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Memorial Contributions in honor of Sue can be made to Harbor Hospice.
