Mary Louise Tejchma's Obituary
Mary Louise Tejchma, age 60, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021, with family at her side. Mary was born on January 31, 1961, to Raymond and Janice (Dick) Gauthier in Muskegon. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Mary retired after 35 years working as an X-Ray Technician at Hackley Hospital. She graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central and won multiple state championships in track and field. She loved spending summers at the cottage on Blue Lake in Fountain, MI and camping adventures with her kids, nephews, and nieces. Mary was most happy when watching her kids and grandkids play multiple sports. She had a talent for arts and crafts, but her favorite was diamond art. In 2018, Mary was diagnosed with Multiple Systems Atrophy, a terminal illness. She never let the illness stop her from living her best life while taking many destination trips in the last few years. Mary always felt at peace sitting in her swing with Jeremy’s dog Bauer while listening to Christian music. On December 10, 1982, she married her husband of 38 years, Daniel Tejchma, and he survives her along with two children, Jason (Shannon) Tejchma and Jordan Tejchma; two grandchildren, Jackson, and Jameson; mother, Janice (Dick) Gauthier; sister, Theresa (Greg) Wilson; and brother, Michael Gauthier along with many other special relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy, in 2014, and father, Raymond Gauthier. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with Rev. Charles D. Hall presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM the evening prior at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441.
