Mary Lou Tenbrink's Obituary
Mary Lou TenBrink, age 77, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 19, 1945, to Christopher Columbus and Viola (Causineau) Carmean in Douglas, MI. She married the love of her life, Simon D. TenBrink, on January 4, 1964 in Grand Haven, MI. and had 4 loving kids. Mary Lou worked at Meijer’s until her retirement in 2006. She and her family traveled the U.S. with square tappers and to cheer her husband on at racing events. She loved cats, enjoyed bargain hunting at local garage sales and going to bingo.
Mary Lou will be remembered and missed by her husband, Simon D. TenBrink Sr.; children, Karla (Jene) Weathers, Simon Duane TenBrink Jr., Krystal TenBrink and Matthew (Autumn) TenBrink; and grandchildren, Caley TenBrink and Sebastian Goll. She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Vernon “Sonny” Carmean, Jack (Jackie) Carmean, Frank (Ann) Carmean, Robert (Sue) Carmean and Ronald (Sally) Carmean; sisters, Barbara (Everett) Smedley and Norma (Harley) Garvey, and the many friends that she treated as family. A Celebration of Life will be held later this year at a location to be determined.
