Mary Alice Wierengo's Obituary
Ms. Mary Alice Wierengo, age 65, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday morning, August 20, 2013. Mary Alice was born July 20, 1948 in Muskegon to Peter A. and Mona J. (Jones) Wierengo. She was a Mona Shores graduate and went on to become a certified nursing assistant. Mary Alice worked with DeBoer nursing home for 34 years, prior to her retirement. She was a cat lover and a Betty Boop fan. Most of all, she was an avid Beatles fan and collector; traveling to England to meet the Beatles; seeing many of their concerts over the years, and attending many Beatles conventions. She will be deeply missed and is survived by her sister, Gloria (David) McMinn of Fruitport; 2 brothers, Ken (Dolly) Wierengo of Fruitport and Don Wierengo of Sarasota, FL; 2 nephews, Kenny John (Star) Wierengo and Chris (Mindy) Wierengo; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 26, 2013 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St 231-798-1100
with Pastor Vern Wright officiating. VISITATION will be Sunday from 2-5 PM and 1 hour prior to the service (10-11AM) at the funeral home. INTERMENT will be in Norton Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Pay it Forward Animal Clinic.
