Mary E. Yonker's Obituary
Mrs. Mary E. Yonker, age 84, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at her home. Mary was born February 17, 1931 to Eli and Ola (Henley) Shumate in Sprott, AL. On July 1, 1952 she married William J. Yonker and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2004. Mary loved her constant companion; her dog, Brandy and enjoyed sewing and cutting the grass. She is survived by her sons, Richard P. (Christine) Yonker of Owosso, Michael (Michelle) Yonker of Twin Lake; grandchildren, Rebecca Harmon, Benjamin (Andrea) Yonker and Janell Yonker; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn Harmon, Riley and Sophia Yonker. Mary was also preceded in death by her parents, three grandchildren, Karen, Beth and Matthew Yonker along with two sisters and four brothers. Private Family Services were held. The family is being served by Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210. Burial was in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
