Mrs. Mary Margaret Yonker's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Margaret Yonker passed away Friday evening, September 7, 2012. Mary was born December 17 in Hancock, MI to Charles S. and Nellie (Blackwood ) Mason. Mary attended Hancock High School and took classes at Michigan Tech and Finlandia University. On August 1, 1942, Mary married Kenneth James Yonker in Hancock, and he survives her. She was very style conscious and worked in retail, in sales and as an assistant buyer. Mary was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Muskegon as well as The Century Club, the Muskegon Country Club, and The Greater Muskegon Service League. Mary took great pleasure in both gardening and shopping. In addition to her husband of 70 years, Mary is survived by her son, Charles (Barbara) Yonker of Muskegon; grandson, Christopher (Jolie) Yonker of New Hampshire; and many friends. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held 11 AM Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock, MI. Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or the Greater Muskegon Service League.
