Mary Adella (Mazurkiewicz) Zaremba's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Adella (Mazurkiewicz) Zaremba, age 88, passed away Thursday evening, January 15, 2004. She was born March 27, 1915 in Muskegon to John and Ann (Wajman) Mazurkiewicz and lived her entire life in the area. She married Joseph M. Zaremba in October of 1946 and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1987. Mrs. Zaremba worked as a piston inspector for Sealed Power Corp. for over 30 years and retired in 1975. She had also worked for Federal Department Store and Anton’s Bakery for a number of years. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society. SURVIVORS include her son, Larry Zaremba of Roosevelt Park; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ed and Shirley Radecki of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, Helen Reeths, 2 brothers, Joseph Mays and Edward Mazurkiewicz, brother-in-law, William Reeths, sister-in-law, Lois Mays, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Felix and Stella Zaremba. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Phillip Sliwinski as Celebrant. INTERMENT will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION with Mrs. Zaremba’s family will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM Monday evening. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Mass at St. Michaels on Tuesday.
