Mary Ann Ciezak's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Ann Ciezak, age 93, passed away Monday evening, April 11, 2005, after a short illness. She was born in Medville, Utah on October 10, 1911 to Frank and Mary (Hafner) Galoit. As a young child, her family moved to Calumet, Michigan, where her father was employed in the copper mines. Years later, the family moved to Muskegon, Michigan. There she was employed at Muskegon Paper Box for more than twenty years. On April 27, 1934, she married Chester Ciezak, and he preceded her in death on August 22, 1952. She was also preceded in death by her mother, father, and three siblings. Mary loved to cook, and was an excellent seamstress until she lost her sight in 2000. Other hobbies included fishing, and spending time with her son and daughter-in-law, and her grandchildren. SURVIVORS include her son, Richard (Jamie) Ciezak; five grandchildren, Richard (Autumn) Ciezak, Jr., Carie (Brian) Minzey, Joe (Amy) Ciezak, Sarah Ciezak, Steven Ciezak; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty (Donald) Siegel; and sister-in-law, Ruth Galoit.
