Mary J. Ayotte's Obituary
Mrs. Mary J. Ayotte, age 89, passed away Wednesday morning, February 10, 2010 in Muskegon. She was born May 26, 1920 to Frank and Mary (Grant) LaCombe in Negaunee, MI and moved to the Muskegon area in 1946. Mary had worked at Anton’s Bakery for many years, was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for 60 years, and also the Ladies Auxillary of St. Mary’s. On October 23, 1937 she married Edward J. “Dusty” Ayotte, and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1990. SURVIVORS include her 3 children, Jim (Gwen) Ayotte of Muskegon, Kay (Bob) Ferenz of Muskegon, Char Wiersma of Grand Haven; her loving grandchildren, David (Angelique) Ayotte, Clifford Ayotte, Debbie (Glenn) Kendra, Jim (Melissa) Ferenz, Susan (Mark) Langlois, Chris (Tom) Klingenberg, Ray (Tara) Sowa, Steve (Christina) Sowa; 19 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, David LaCombe of Wisconsin. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Ayotte; a daughter-in-law, Noreen Ayotte; a sister, Kay Antilla; and a brother, James LaCombe. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Matthew J. Barnum presiding. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
