Mary Jane Vos' Obituary
Mrs. Mary Jane Vos, age 84, passed away Monday, April 18, 2005 at an area nursing home. She was born July 30, 1920 in Lafayette, IL, to Mr. Raymond Francis and Helen A. (Bilger) Delano. Her mother later married Harold A. Wood and together they raised her. Mary Jane married John Oscar Vos in 1944 in Muskegon. She worked for many years as a secretary for Sealed Power Corporation (SPX), where she was named Secretary of the Year for the State of Michigan in 1977. Mary Jane also worked as a secretary for Seehock Floor Covering. Mrs. Vos was a former member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and had been a volunteer at Hackley Hospital for more than 30 years. Mary Jane is SURVIVED by her sons, Thomas Delano (Elizabeth Marie) Vos of Muskegon and William Russell (Susan Beth) Vos of Salinas, CA; 5 grandchildren, Crystal Alice (Nick) Simon, Amber Holly Vos, Nathan Thomas Vos, Amy Beth (Sunny Blue) Gonzales and Melissa Helen Acre; 8 great grandchildren, Joshua Nick Simon, Trevor William Simon, Hunter Damien Thompson, Christian Jordan Vos, Sky Blue Gonzales, Angela Mae Acre, Andrew James Acre, and Abbey Leigh Acre.
