Mary Kathlynn Hendrick's Obituary
Mary Kathlynn (Anderson) Hendrick (60) of Grand Haven, MI went to be with her Lord on April 18, 2005, after a courageous 5-year battle with cancer. Mary was born on November 11, 1944, to Kenneth and Catherine (Van Dyke) Anderson of Muskegon, MI. Surviving are her parents, her husband of 38 years, Roger Hendrick, and her children Angela (Vern Johnson), of Schoolcraft, MI, Jennifer (Keith Arnold), of Woodstock, GA, Brett Hendrick of Holland, MI, and Beau Hendrick (Segrid Johnson), of Grand Haven, MI. Also surviving are 3 brothers Dan (Sharon) Anderson, of Vero Beach, FL, Bruce (Elizabeth) Anderson, of Grand Haven, MI, and Mark (Christy) Anderson, of Kalamazoo, MI, 4 grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mary and Roger spent many years in the Newaygo Co. area and owned Fremont Floral for 10 years.
Mary had a quiet and dignified, yet vibrant personality. She loved to laugh and spend time with her family. Only her inner beauty matched her outer beauty as she always thought of others before herself. She was a kind, giving and thoughtful person who delighted in caring for her family and others as well as spending time with her grandchildren. Her positive outlook and excitement for life was contagious. Her family will miss her deeply, but rejoice that she is in heaven, completely healed with the Lord she served.
A memorial service followed by a luncheon will be held on April 30, 2005 at 1:00 pm at Lakeshore Baptist Church, 13664 Lakeshore Dr., Grand Haven, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Grand Haven or Lakeshore Baptist Church (Zambia Project.)
