Mary Lou (Hammond) Johnston's Obituary
Mary Lou (Hammond) Johnston, age 68, died Tuesday evening, February 24, 2004. She was born September 21, 1935 in Muskegon to Herbert “Hap” & Lois (Boucher) Dornbush; and had been a life resident of the area. Prior to her retirement, Mary Lou had been office manager for N&K Truck Sales and was Past President of ALTRUSA Club of Muskegon. She was a member of Mona Lake Boat Club and a former member of Wolf Lake Baptist Church. Mary Lou also enjoyed writing poetry. SURVIVORS include 5 sons, Rick (Teresa) Evers of Bowden, GA, Herb (Debra) Johnston, Jim (Kaprice) Evers of Jilla Rica, GA, Don (Melissa) Johnston and Dennis (Diane) Johnston of Carrollton GA; 7 grandchildren, Amanda Jean Evers, Ethan Evers, Nathaniel Evers, Nicholas Evers, Bradley Matthew Johnston, Tiffany Vickery and Dustin Johnston; 1 adopted sister, Lois (Gary) Polaski of Clear Lake, MI and by her special friend and companion, Kenneth Hammond. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Ray Dornbush. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at
