Mary Louise Johnston's Obituary
Ms. Mary Louise Johnston, age 83, passed away Wednesday morning, May 4, 2011. She was born June 1, 1927 in Ferry Twp., MI to John and Anna (Pabami) Bray. Ms. Johnston was a self-employed seamstress for many years before retiring. She was a tribal member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians and also belonged to the Democratic Party. Some of her interests include going to the Casino, sewing, and traveling. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Gail (Tony) Guerrero of Muskegon, Fred (Sue) Johnston of Jacksonville, FL, Joni (David) Brice of Key Largo, FL, Judy Johnston of Steele, AL, Rev. John (Lisa) Johnston of Savannah, TN; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas (Virginia) Bray of Guadalajara, Mexico; 2 sisters, Donna Schultz, Weymouth (Doug) Brown both of Muskegon; 2 sisters-in-law, Eleanor Mayo, Linda Bray; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Lorraine, Angeline, Martha; 3 brothers, Ernest, Charles, and Stanley. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with Pastor Joseph Vest officiating. VISITATION with the family will from 6-8 PM Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. MEMORIALS to the American Heart Association will be appreciated.
