Mary R. Chamberlain's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Rose Chamberlain, age 88, died Saturday, April 22, 2006 in Muskegon. She was born on August 16, 1917 in Muskegon Heights to Michael and Mary (Gulyban) Galajda, and had resided in the area all of her life. Mrs. Chamberlain was member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. On November 27, 1937 she married Dwain Chamberlain, and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1987. SURVIVORS include 3 daughters. Madeline (Oris) Mosher of Ludington, Carolin (Kenneth) Hopwood of Fruitport, and Mary (Paul) Jordan of Ravenna; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Gizella Alex, Betty Emlaw and Rose Potter all of Muskegon. Mrs. Chamberlain was also preceded in death by her brother, Steve Galajda. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church - Marian Chapel. Visitation with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with the Rosary being prayed at 7:30 PM. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to St. Francis deSales Catholic Church would be appreciated.
