Mathew D. Mercurio's Obituary
Mr. Mathew D. Mercurio, age 64, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in Lansing, MI. He was born August 23, 1946 in Newberg, New Jersey to Dominic and Anne (Catillio) Mercurio, and resided in the Muskegon area for the last 12 years. Mathew was a member of Celebration Community Church. He had a passion for cooking, volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, and enjoyed fishing with friends. On January 26, 1998, he married the former Sandra Blodgett, and she survives him along with 6 children, Suzanne (Jeff) Miller, Bronwyn (Denni) DeBois, Heather (James) Davis, Chris (Heidi) Holmes, Kelli Burns, Molly Wedding; and 13 grandchildren. Mathew was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ronald Mercurio. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Monday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565. The MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Tuesday at Celebration Community Church with Pastor Walter F. Jones officiating. Memorial Contributions to the Sparrow Foundation (PO Box 30480 Lansing, MI 48909) or Habitat for Humanity will be appreciated.
