Matthew Allan Malfroid's Obituary
Matthew Allan Malfroid passed away on April 20, 2026, in the loving arms of his wife. He was born on September 22, 1966, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Kenneth and Eileen (Weller) Malfroid. After graduating from Central High School, he worked as an engineer in the automotive industry, eventually becoming a Manufacturing Engineer Manager at UACJ Automotive.
Matt loved to watch football, and he remained faithful to the Detroit Lions. Matt will be remembered as being a provider to a fault. If you were loved by him, you were never in need of anything. He provided for his family no matter what.
On October 23, 2010, Matt married Kristine, blending their families for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kristine; eight shared children, Amanda (Rudy IV) Najar, Allan (Katie) Malfroid, Jessica (Coleman) Malfroid, Christine (Michael) Miller, Mitchell Clark, Joshua Clark, Nickolas Clark, and Jesika (Austin) Flach; 13 grandchildren; parents, Eileen and Kenneth Malfroid; one brother, Edward Malfroid; two sisters, Barbara (Matthew) Wainright and Jeannine (Edward) Mroz; sister-in-law, Donna Malfroid; many nieces and nephews; his work family; and his faithful companion, his dog, Beauregard. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Malfroid.
