Matthews R. Foster Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Matthews R. Foster Sr. departed this earth on September 22, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Matthews, also known as Matt, was born on March 5, 1951, to the union of Dunbar and Lenora Foster. Raised in North Muskegon on Russell Road, Matt attended Reeths-Puffer Elementary School. Later, moving to the downtown Muskegon area on Cedar Street, Matt attended Orchard View High School from where he graduated. As a young boy Matt attended John Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church, then moving membership to attend New Liberty Church of God in Christ, where his uncle, Elder Willie Foster, was the pastor. As Matt got older and remarried to his wife, Debra, he gave his life to the Lord, rededicating himself before his transition. Matt was employed with Teledyne Continental Motors until his retirement. He enjoyed skating, fishing, and drinking beer!
