Maureen "Kay" Howard's Obituary
Maureen “Kay” Howard, age 82, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024. She was born June 23, 1941 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to Thomas and Dorothy (Harvey) Callaghan and had resided in Muskegon since 1959. On September 9, 1967, she married Paul Howard in Muskegon. Kay was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She was an excellent seamstress, loved doing crafts, and was a fantastic cook and baker. SURVIVORS include her husband, Paul; three children: Amber (Don) Nienhouse, Kevin Howard, and Kimberly (Michael) Biedler all of North Muskegon; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Brian (Pat) Callaghan of Grand Rapids; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Howard. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Kay will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 10, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, 231-798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials to The Harbor Hospice Foundation will be appreciated.
