Maurice Vanderstelt Jr's Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Maurice “Bud” Vanderstelt, Jr., on Friday, July 19, 2019. Bud was born in Muskegon on August 1, 1962 to Maurice and Joan (Dowdy) Vanderstelt, Sr. He had been employed by Griffon Inc. for over 25 years. Bud enjoyed bowling and spending time with his friends working on and racing cars. Bud will be sorely missed by his two daughters, Britney Bothwell and Brandy (Kyle) Merryman; three grandchildren, Payton, AnnElise, and Keely; his parents, Joan and Gary Sandberg; three sisters, Laura (Leo) Johnson, Sheila (Morgan) Justice and Beth Ann (Tim) Aebig; nieces and nephew, Hannah, Ryan, Shelby, Nicole, and Jennifer; many loving friends including dear friends, the Rake family. Bud was preceded in death and greeted in Heaven by his father, Maurice Vanderstelt, Sr. A MEMORIAL GATHERING for Bud and his dad, Gary, will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Viking Linne Lodge #57 (3132 Lakeshore Dr.) from 1-5 PM, where friends and family can gather to share in grief yet celebrate their lives.
