Max David Winchel's Obituary
Max David Winchel, age 88, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at home. He was born May 13, 1935, in Muskegon, Michigan to Murlen and Mary (Bowen) Winchel, and married Katherine Keller on September 18, 1954, in Three Rivers, MI. Katherine preceded him in death in 2008.
Max worked in the construction/building of mobile homes in Indiana, for many years. He was also employed by the Dayco Rubber Company, and Meijer, in Three Rivers, prior to retiring. He loved to fish, especially for bluegills! He also enjoyed hunting for mushrooms, camping, and looking for arrowheads in cornfields. He cherished spending time with his family most of all.
He is lovingly remembered by his three daughters; Robin (Wes) Cleveland, Terrie (Steve) Pietrzykowski and Connie Zabloski; two sons, David (Georgia) Winchel and Donald (Carol) Winchel; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Lee Vallie; brother, Marshall (June) Winchel; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Winchel, and granddaughter, Elizabeth Pietrzykowski.
