Maxine V. Cobb's Obituary
Ms. Maxine V. Cobb, age 96, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in Greer, SC. She was born on January 16, 1917 in Muskegon to Ora and Adah (Germiquet) Cobb, and resided her entire life in the West Michigan area. Maxine was a Physical Education teacher at Muskegon Heights Schools for 31 years. She then went on to work with special need students at Muskegon High School, where she formed the first Special Olympics teams for the school. She is survived by a niece and nephew, great nieces and nephews, several great great nieces and nephews; and many special friends. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 10AM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor Douglas Ogden officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 9-10 AM. Burial will take place in Mona View Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to the Arthritis Foundation will be appreciated.
