Maxine Hecksel's Obituary
Mrs. Maxine Hecksel, age 84, passed away Wednesday morning, January 5, 2005 at her home. She was born June 12, 1920 to Clarence and Martha (Dykema) Field in Muskegon, and was a life resident. She graduated from Muskegon High School in 1939, was on the Class Reunion Committee, and attended Muskegon Business School. She was an active member of New Heart Community Church, and a graduate of Bible Study Fellowship. She loved knitting, traveling, square-dancing, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up and play sports. Maxine married Arthur Hecksel on March 16, 1946 in Nunica, and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1982. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Marcia Grasman of Norton Shores, Larry (Linda) Hecksel of Laketon Twp., Mark (Callie) Hecksel of Fruitport, Jane (James) McPherson of Norton Shores; 12 grandchildren, Paul (Sharon) Grasman, Lisa (Mike) Schnyders, Scott (Kellie) Grasman, Steven (Wendi) Grasman, Rebecca (Andy) Becker, Cynthia (Peter) Pawlowski, Kristen (Zac) Lownds, Michael Hecksel, Megan Hecksel, Emily McPherson, Eric McPherson, Evan McPherson; 7 great-grandchildren, Sam, Matt, Anna, Henry, Davis, Grant, and Abigail; 1 sister, Dorothy Whitehead of St. Augustine, FL; and her loving companion, Jack Rollenhagen of Nunica. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church with Pastor Ron Amos officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION at
