Maxine Rose (Corinti) Janowski's Obituary
Maxine Rose (Corinti) Janowski passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 95 years of age. She was born on December 27, 1928 in Muskegon MI to Joseph Corinti and Onesta (Mezzetti) Corinti. Maxine met Karl F. Janowski while working at the Michigan Theater. They married on February 9, 1948 in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Their union resulted in seven children: Christine (William) Janowski Warren, Rose “Dilly” Cavanagh, Karla (Steve) Janowski Rhodea, Karl F. Janowski Jr. (deceased) Debbie Janowski daughter-in-law, Janice (Mark) Sesselmann, Anthony (Joan) Janowski, and Andrew (Eric) Janowski, 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl F. Janowski Sr., her son, Karl F. Janowski Jr., her parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Maxine is survived by her sister, Linda Corinti Bristow. A lifelong resident of Muskegon, Maxine was an active member in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. While championing her children’s endeavors she became a leader in the Parent Teacher Association and the Cub Scouts. She was the family historian imparting news of one of her children to all the others. She participated in the Cursillo Movement in Muskegon for many years. Maxine loved hummingbirds and always made time to be in her garden. While raising her busy family she became a licensed cosmetologist. Her passion was playing bridge resulting in many lifelong friends from her various bridge groups. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, December 27, 2024 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2929 McCracken Street, Norton Shores, MI 49441, with Rev. Steven W. Geerling presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass on Friday at the church. Please consider donating to St. Francis de Sales Good Samaritan Fund in lieu of flowers.
