Maxine "Mick" Evans' Obituary
Mrs. Maxine “Mick” Evans, age 92, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born on April 8, 1925 in Hesperia, MI to Joseph and Kitty (Eitniear) Farber. Maxine worked for Howmet for 18 years, before retiring in 1984. She loved to travel with her husband to Las Vegas, South Padre Island and Gulf Shores, and went along on many Orchard View bus trips and casino trips with her husband and then her daughters. On December 4, 1944, she married Leo Evans, and he preceded her in death on February 4, 2015 after 70 years of marriage. SURVIVORS include three children, Kay (Edward) Kawaleski, Kristi (George) Campbell, and Leo S. (Linda) Evans; four grandchildren, Wendy (Russ) Christensen, Leo A. (Vicki) Evans, Paul (Laura) Evans and Matt Kawaleski; four great-grandchildren, Allison, Grant, Leo J., and Sophia; and brother, William Farber of Hesperia. Maxine was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Ron Evans; three brothers; and a sister. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Maxine will be 11 AM Tuesday at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church (1568 W. Giles Rd.) with Rev. Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service.
