Maxine "Micki" J. DeWitt's Obituary
Mrs. Maxine Dewitt, age 87, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Muskegon. She was born on June 29, 1928 in Muskegon to John and Bertha (Middlecamp) Batten and was a lifelong resident of the Muskegon area. She gave 20 years of service as a bus driver to Fruitport Community Schools. Micki enjoyed the lottery, reading, NASCAR and her beloved Detroit Tigers but foremost to her was always her family. SURVIVORS include her children, Roger D. (Rita) Johnson, Esther (James) Neiser, Peggy Johnson and Tina Thompson; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great- great- granddaughter. Special friends, Dr. Fabrick and her staff. Sheila Prenger and all of her friends at Lloyds Bayou Apartments. Maxine was preceded in death by her 2 brothers and her 4 sisters. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held 11 am Thursday at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Pastor Lynnette Gillett officiating. Memorial contributions in Micki’s name may be directed to Harbor Hospice.
