Maxine June Nelson's Obituary
Mrs. Maxine June Nelson, age 84, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2013. She was born September 2, 1929 in Chicago, IL to James and Edna (Routley) Johnson. On February 18, 1948, she married William R. Nelson in Muskegon. Maxine attended McGraft Memorial Congregational Church and had been active with the Muskegon Eagles and the former Moose Lodge. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William “Bill” Nelson; 1 son, Gerald James Nelson; 1 grandson; 2 sisters, Rosemary Broton and Kathleen Jones; and by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 6, 2013 at McGraft Memorial Congregational Church (1617 Palmer Street) with Pastor Mark Nieuwsma officiating. VISITATION will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday (today) at
